  • Foster new friendships among parents and children

📆 Date:

16th - 20th March 2025 (school holidays)

📍Location:

Sukasantai Farmstay, West Java, Indonesia (Google Maps)

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 For Ages:

Parents and children aged 4 and above

📍 Camp Location: Sukasantai Farmstay

We are partnering with our friends at Sukasantai Farmstay, a ten-hectare organic farm, fruit orchard and bamboo forest.

Sukasantai was founded in 2019 by a mother and daughter from Jakarta who are passionate about cultivating organic vegetables for health and committed to responsible agriculture as a way to care for the environment.

The farmstay was designed by Goy Architects, blending modern and vernacular elements, and have earned multiple international architecture awards.

As a family-run enterprise, Sukasantai is primarily staffed by locals from the village, Desa Sukamaju. They are not part of a resort chain or franchise—Sukasantai is a family farm, built and nurtured with love.

Participants will be based here throughout the duration of the camp.

Theme: Recalibrate, Refocus, Reconnect

When we are online, or body is here but our mind is over there.

When we are offline, we align our body and mind to the here and now.

Which is why we feel that our limited internet connectivity is not a bad thing. The slow connection makes our phone a little less tempting to pick up.

Without the distraction, inhabiting the stillness of the moment becomes natural.

And in that stillness, there is rest and real connection.

They came, they loved it! ☻

Helen Clare Rozario,
mother of Sophie Clare, 7 years old (Jeju, 2024)

“The mere fact that Sophie Clare, as a neurodivergent child, gifted with ADHD and Dyslexia, showed interest in writing on the first day of the programme truly surprised me and touched my heart. It offered compelling insight into alternative, more effective learning methods when creativity was incorporated for her.

The facilitators were professional, respectful, and had an intuitive connection with the children. Although I wasn't present, this was noticed when Sophie Clare discussed how the day went and observed through her interactions with the facilitators during drop-off and pick-up. The way she interacted with them clearly reflected the level of trust and comfort she felt with them.

Despite the drop-off requirement, the whole experience significantly transformed both of us and further strengthened our already close mother-daughter bond. It also unlocked another level of independence and autonomy for her, and the act of letting go for me. I am also pretty pleased with the fact that I was able to work productively with a peace of mind and ease while she was engaged in the camp. I even managed to do some sightseeing on my own during free moments when I wasn't working.”

Gwen Ho,
Mother of Emily, 8 years old
(Chiang Mai, 2024)

“A well-thought-out parent-child bonding experience! It was a truly meaningful, screen-free time spent with Emily. We enjoyed every aspect of the trip, from the photo-taking to the journaling, and the walk through Pak Chor. The picnic was a lovely touch; visiting a local school, interacting with the students, and playing games with the CCO kids were all valuable experiences. You both clearly worked hard behind the scenes! A special thank you for empowering the Singaporean kids to teach the Thai students basic photography skills—seeing Emily step up was wonderful!

This trip holds so much meaning for me! It was my first solo-parenting holiday, and it has given me the confidence to embark on more adventures with Emily. Thank you also for your recommendations on where to stay and what to do, as well as for providing the option of transportation to the campsite for non-drivers like me!”

Kian,
Mother of Hong Yi and Zhi Yuan, 11 and 6 years old
(Chiang Mai, 2024)

“My sons and I recently attended Gosh! Kids' camp in Chiangmai. It was an incredible experience. The camp offered a perfect blend of culture, learning, outdoor and community interaction experience. The activities were thoughtfully crafted to encourage collaboration and communication among family members.

The facilitators were approachable and attentive, ensuring that all participants felt comfortable and engaged. They guided us through each activity with enthusiasm and providing valuable insights into effective family dynamics. Communication with the camp was excellent, with regular updates and easy access for any questions or concerns.”

Jing Li,
Mother of Caleb, 8 years old
(Chiang Mai, 2024)

“I went without expectations nor planning but was very much looking forward to a "planned-for" holiday and 1:1 time with Caleb. I was attracted to the part on exposing our privileged children to life beyond comfortable Singapore and am very glad that he was able to make keen observations and be involved in the well thought-out activities throughout the trip (even though he had to go beyond his comfort zone).

Miss G and teacher Mat were superb with kids, even teacher Max (their 3 yo son) - he added so much joy to the whole experience! Loved that the only screen time Caleb had during camp was on conventional digicam, and watching him journaling at the end of each day. I was truly surprised to see my introverted boy mingling so well with his new friends from the start, forging cute precious friendships - he has been asking about his new bestie since we returned! Looking forward to drop-off camps for Caleb with his younger sibling in the near future.”

Gurmit and Denise,
parents of Trent, 8 years old
(Jeju, 2024)

“What we initially thought would be wholly indoors turned out to be a very interactive and eye opening programme that consisted of storytelling, hiking, photography, marine life exploration, and a unique hands-on experience using unripe persimmon juices as dye. Trent’s imagination and curiosity were stoked and inspired by the engaging facilitators who were encouraging cheerleaders pushing the boundaries of creativity and uplifting his confidence. The facilitators were always on hand to update parents at pick up time.

Trent truly was sad when it ended, which only goes to show how much fun he had making new memories and friends, and absorbing the world beyond Singapore.”

There are benefits in exploring fresh and new frontiers. Children can learn effectively about the world and discover their creative identities by experiencing novel and foreign expressions. Through our overseas creative-culture camps, we want to bridge the world into their lives.

  • Being 1000m above sea level, Sukasantai Farm has a cool and comfortable temperature all year round, which means that they do not need to use air-conditioning or heater. They have two distinctive season - dry and rainy. The dry season is characterized by colder nights and clear starry skies. while you won't see the stars much during the rainy season, the wet weather brings with it a troop of sparkly fireflies to our farm grounds almost everyday.

  • The physical aspects of the programme will include nature trails and hiking. It’s beginner-friendly and isn’t physically-demanding. We will ensure that frequent breaks are incorporated into our schedule. However, do let us know if you have any concerns.

  • English will be the main language of communication throughout the programme.

  • Please pack warm clothes like sweater, jackets, long sleeved shirt and pants as it gets cold at night and in the morning. It's a farm, so you'll be walking on unpaved ground, so please bring comfortable walking shoes or sandals.ption

  • Most of the farm area are mosquito free, but there are more mosquitoes in the valley area, especially at around sunset. If you need to use some mosquito repellent spray, feel free to ask ground staff (or you can bring your own). Sukasantai makes their own mosquito repelling oils from distilling citronella plants at the farm - it is not toxic and smells very nice!

  • One of the things we want to encourage you to do during your holiday with us is to put down your phone, be in the moment and enjoy your friends and family's company.

However, we do realize that sometimes you need to stay connected to home and or work, and so we do provide complimentary wi-fi in the common areas only (reception, kitchen and dining areas).

  • We do not have TV in each room, but we do have a large screen projector at the commons. You can bring your laptop and choice of movies to play (our internet connection is too slow for movie streaming, so please download your movies before you leave the city!). Do ask our staff if you would like to book it for a movie night!

  • Currently the government does not have a waste disposal or recycling system in our village, and so, at Sukasantai we try our best to minimise waste and avoid single-use plastic packaging and products. We don't provide single-use toothbrush, but we do sell regular toothbrush that you can use and bring home.

  • No, we do not have swimming pool. We are a farm, not a resort. Swimming pools are costly to maintain, and any way, you do not want to be swimming in our cold weather.

  • This is a strictly non-smoking facility.

Why is it important for your child to see the world?
