we believe in children.

At Gosh! Kids, we empower children to be leaders of tomorrow through the creative arts.

Transforming children from passive consumers into active creators is our primary goal.

But we also realised that the world is rapidly evolving.

Emerging technologies are revolutionizing our lives at a lightning speed.

Artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain technology, Web 3.0, Metaverse, virtual & augmented realities…

Familiar terms? You’ve probably read about them online.

The future is looking very different and will continue to expound in the next 5 - 10 years. Our children are going to be living in a world where these groundbreaking tech are just a normal part of everyday life.

Can you even imagine?

It's like something straight out of a science fiction movie. But it's not just fiction anymore, it's real and it's happening now.

The best part?

Our children have the opportunity to be the ones shaping this future, to be the ones using these technologies for good, to bring about greater efficiency and change the way we live for the better.

But here’s the problem.

The education system isn’t doing the job of preparing our children for what’s ahead.

The skills taught in school today are not on-par with how things will be in the future.

βšͺ️ Memorisation & regurgitation

βšͺ️ Facts & figures

βšͺ️ Standardised tests

βšͺ️ One-size-fits-all systems

When the measurement of your β€˜success’ is quantified by the number on your scoresheet, you know things are gonna get messy.

Technology is supposedly here to help us, but there is a rising fear towards it.

Things like social media, ChatGPT (AI), online gaming, metaverse communities, unreal digital realities…. these things are suppose to help us advance humanity, and yet our natural instinct as parents is to protect our child from the the perceived danger of these systems.

Parents, are you worried?

Are we afraid that such tools can breed over-reliance and generate a kind of dopamine effect on our children?

Can a machine or algorithm replace my child in a snap of the finger?

Will my child become obsolete?

Will I lose my child to a whirlwind of digital fantasies that they never seem to get bored of?

These are 100% reasonable thoughts and we as parents ought to feel as such.

We all want our children to succeed now and in the future.

We want them find find passion, to do good, to aim higher.

But success is not just about having good grades, a good job, earning a good salary, or even doing something altruistic once in a while.

Success is about survivability.

Surviving, then thriving in a future of uncertainty.

To survive, our children need to be taught the right mindsets and given the appropriate tools so that they can navigate far (not fast) into the future.

As parents and educators, we need to stay adaptable and open-minded towards new ways of doing things.

And so must our children.

We’re not saying that traditional education is useless and should be eradicated from our lives. Neither are we saying that we should completely rely on technology to do the work for us.

School is important. Grades and qualifications play a significant role of providing a stepping stone into the adult life. Education systems are there to bring children through the mundane grind and instilling the basic understanding of the world.

But it is not enough.

If our approach towards education doesn’t evolve with times, our children risk getting left behind.

There’s hope.
There’s a way.

Thankfully, every child is a natural explorer. They have an insatiable curiosity within them to discover new things.

But they lack guidance and the tools to help them navigate through their journey of discovery.

Leaders of tomorrow require tomorrow’s way of doing things.

And tomorrow, things will be looking very different.

We are in the dawn of the Creator Economy.

The creator economy is when people make things like videos, pictures, music, and games and share them with people all over the world using the internet.

We see how kids are slowly being exposed to concepts like entrepreneurship, personal branding, coding - and there was once a time we would think of these things as solely meant for grownups!

Here’s the mind-blowing thing:

The Creator Economy is not just a trend, but a shift in the way we work (and learn).

Not just for grownups, but for children as well.

From YouTube to TikTok to Patreon, more and more people are turning to the Creator Economy for income and fulfilment.

And the best part?

Your child can (and should) be part of this movement. There is no such thing as β€˜too young’ to create, monetize work and to stand out among the masses.

In a time where technology is making everything similar, distinctiveness is of paramount importance.

For our children to succeed in the future of work, they need to stand out.

In a competitive world, children will need to establish their own unique identity.

In a world of noise, authenticity is the only way to be heard.

And in a world of copycats, originality is the key to speaking to millions.

Why creative arts?

In the near future, the world will witness a cloud of emerging technologies that will revolutionize everything we do.

In fact, we won’t even realise it when it happens.

And that’s when your human creativity will distinguish you from a machine.

Creativity will become the currency of the future.

The most powerful force in the universe.

Those who have it in abundance will lead the world.

The creative arts have the ability to sharpen our children’s creativity (when done correctly) and transform the minds of our young.

But the problem is this.

Many parents fail to grasp the power of this niche.

There are 2 possible reasons for this:

Human error in judgement: the result of misguided beliefs about the value of creative arts has led to its exclusion in our children’s learning journey.

Complacency: a lack of desire to challenge the status quo due to the fear of change or a lack of motivation to explore alternative approaches to education.

The power of the creative arts, in 3 ways:

- UNVEILS PERSPECTIVES
- EMPOWERS THEM TO TELL STORIES
- LITERALLY TEACH THEM TO BE CREATIVE

Moreover, we do not focus solely on the technicalities of the creative arts alone.

While these are important, we believe in deep-diving into the creative aspects - the conceptualising of ideas and perspectives within their minds and through their eyes. From there, they tell their own stories through the work that they create.

By developing these skills, children are able to establish trust, increase their visibility and create a positive image of themselves, effectively building their personal brand.

Through our programmes, they can learn skills that will help them stand out among the herd.

They will be transformed from passive consumers into active creators.

"Creativity is intelligence having fun" - Albert Einstein

There is one very important ingredient in what we do:

We have fun.

But what is the big deal about being fun? Isn’t it a given?

Have we all not been guilty of dozing off or scrolling through our phones during a talk, speech or event?

Yup, we do that because these things aren’t engaging.

Creativity is not just about coming up with new and innovative ideas, but also about enjoying the process of using one's intelligence and thinking skills to meet the objective.

Many educational programs / educators do the job of releasing the skills into our children, but many fail to capture their attention.

And it all boils down to 1 reason why:

0 engagement.

Every parent knows that when their child is fully engaged in an activity, they lose all sense of their surrounding to focus 100% on the task.

With full immersion, children will reap the most out of the experience.

πŸ”₯ Learning + fun + engaging + reflective = 100% experience.

It gets forged in their minds.

And that’s how we approach the creative arts.

Together with the children, we deep dive into the experimentation and execution of photography, art, design programs that will unleash their imagination.

We transform their creative fantasies into tangible realities by intertwining play & art.

Soon, they will realise that there is a world of unlimited opportunities and possibilities.

And through a safe and supportive space, our children will unlock their full potential and maximize their learning experience.

By exposing them to the creative arts, we’re not just providing them with the tools they need to survive, but also giving them the keys to their success.

Empowerment starts today,

Tomorrow, the future begins.
